Blending fashion brands from around the world with highly curated luxury and vintage consignment, Ava’s & Around Again is a unique and eclectic gem against the coastal Hampton’s backdrop.

act i: Around Again

In May of 1988, Marjorie Scanlon opened Around Again, a children’s consignment shop on the Sag Harbor Wharf in New York.

It quickly grew to accepting adult clothing and accessories, more than doubling its size.

In 2000, Gayle Calamita began working in the store and brought with her many years of experience operating her own business and managing charitable thrift stores.

Together, the duo expanded into a new storefront in the same complex with a furniture consignment.

The furniture shop lasted four years before the ladies decided to relocate the clothing store into the newer location and take full advantage of the waterfront views and breathtaking sunsets of the Wharf.

act ii: Ava’s

In 2009, Ava’s boutique was born as the new women’s clothing counterpart to Around Again, and for 5 years Ava’s did business on Jobs Ln in Southampton Village before the two came together in Sag Harbor, a village which had grown to fit the “Hamptons” mold over the years.

the finale: Ava’s & Around Again

With Gayle’s tenacity and expertise as a buyer and Marjorie’s eye for the vintage, it’s been said that there’s something for everyone among the new and the old.
